Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer, causing thousands of deaths a year. When breathed in, radon releases radioactive particles that damage lung tissue. Millions of homes across the country have elevated levels. You cannot see, smell or taste radon. The only way to know if your home is affected is to test. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Surgeon General recommend that you test your home for radon. If elevated levels are jlgg*. confirmed, the problem can and should be corrected.
